Statement of Achievement

I have always been an overall performer , from studies to sports , from arts to literature ; I have indulged in every such tasks I enjoy and have interest in .Being involved in such activities , I have won many certificates and medals that proves my hard work and ability in every of those tasks .

I love indulging myself in the social work campaigns; sharing smiles and happiness takes me to the peak of satisfaction .I have involved in such campaigns time and again. Tears still bubble when I remember how the children's have hugged me and not let me return at the end of the day. Whenever I reject to eat some food at home, my dad says," You have lots of choices, so you ignore. Remember those who don’t have any of the things you are having."Yes , I do remember his words and be happy with the things I have got in my life .I don’t have much to share , but still I serve them with how much I can ; with my clothes ,my books , my foods and my smiles .

As I shifted to a new school on my 10thclass, a new arena with all new people around was challenging for me .I was so unfamiliar to the environment and also the friends there; as they had their own groups and partners since years. On that certain day, We had Nepali and English reading competition, after the competition was over, students were requested to guess the name of the winner and none of them spelled mine ; I was so broken by that time ; I felt terrible. Fortunately, the both results were on my favor and I felt like yeah.

I remember the day just before few months were left for SLC; we were all busy in our practices in our classroom. I was the first to finish my work all done excellently. Then, our teacher said," This time I think girls will be on the lead on the results." As soon as sir made those words, a boy stood up and said that no we will never let this happen. Being furious I said,"I will make that happen; I take it as an open challenge."

After the results were published, yes it was me who was on the lead .It is one of my finest achievements, so far. Hard work and patience never goes in vain, I realized.

Years back, we had sports week in our school. I was the house leader; maintaining all the required materials for the games and also selecting interested participants was my job I responsibly handled.  I myself participated and made my way through 8 medals in the sports; 5 gold medals; 2 silver and 1 bronze. At the end of the week, our house was awarded the Most Deserving House title; with the highest number of games being won.

Following up new opportunities in my life , I have been to two radio stations for an interview; Mega FM and Nepal Radio Station. It was an amazing experience to note out my personal views and thoughts among all the listeners of Nepal. To be selected among hundreds of students, and also twice does mean a lot to me.

Talking about my college times ,when I hosted the teachers day programme  at my college and immediately after the programme ended, I got lots of appreciations for my fluent English and my presentation skills . Personally two teachers approached me and said," Don’t stop. You are an excellent presenter I wish I had the talent as you had." I flooded with happiness by that time for my capabilities were highly appreciated by each of them. It is surely one of the best moments of my college life .

Within the few months of my beginner college life; we had a presentation competition on the topic of education .With all my passion and hard work applying on the presentation, I won the award for the best. Recently , there was an International Film Festival held in one of the prestigious  hotels of Nepal .As soon as the vacancy was open for volunteers all over Nepal , I applied and got selected, but to my dis fortune I had to move out of the valley and couldn’t attend the program. But yes, getting selected was like the happiest thing.

In my school level and also now, I have served as a dance choreographer time and again. I had a club Rising Star Dance club in my school days which now no longer exists. But it is not an end, I want to grow more on this field and improve my country on this faculty .
My love of dance led me to compete in collegiate level dancing competition. I sharpened my own leadership skills while serving as a choreographer to the training of our dance. We were titled the most outstanding stage performers along with a medal and certificate.

A year back, we had a hiking program from our college and I was chosen the leader of all throughout the day. My leadership abilities have always made me grab such wonderful opportunities and learn more.
Rather than that, I also represented my college in the A levels Sports meet that was held a year ago.  I was awarded with three certificates for the participation. I became more confident and planned about my sports abilities and determinations.

Participation in extracurricular activities has always remained my prior choice ; there's no single chance I have missed to participate .Either it be spelling contests ,speech competitions or story making , I have excelled in all and got facilitated with appreciations and certificates .I also have hosted programmes for so many times ; being the first choice of organizers . I have also been one of the most obedient students in my classes; in all the secondary level examinations I appeared, I have got excellent grades. My abilities and iron determination has benefited me with many opportunities and many choices on my way. I am glad and thankful to each and every of them who have been in my life for being throughout my ups and downs till date.
At present, I am putting most of my effort into achieving the best grades in my 'course to allow me to reach the next target in my education. I understand that university life will be very challenging, but I am confident that it will give me the best chance to achieve my potential, and lead the way forward to a successful career.

Personal Statement

Unlike many other people, I enjoy my crazy life; certain ups and downs yet happy and dedicated.

Born in a teacher's family, I started my study at a very small age. We owned a school, where my dad was the principal. It was just then, we had started learning A, B, C, D using computer; we were lucky enough because we were one of the few who owned a computer those days. We had a perfect childhood, no doubts.

I have a twins sister, just 12 minutes elder than me; she is the best part of my life. I have my crazy fights and arguments with her yet she is my closest friend. From studies to the extra-activities, she has always been my toughest competitor.

Talking about my family , my dad is my best friend ; he laughs at almost all of the non funniest jokes of mine ; he listens to all of my  crazy non-sensual talks ; he dances to the every tune I play ; he gives me smile every time I look at him despite the troubles and problems he is facing every time . There's a lot I learn from him. His academic excellences and his charming personality does inspire me from the core. I get inspired by his talks, his smile and his intellectual thoughts.

Yes, I have desired for lots of things in my life. I can't guarantee that I will finely complete all those but yes, I will leave no stone unturned to accomplish my aspirations and goals. I am an outspoken person, hyperactive, extremely passionate about public speaking, always with a smile on face; I love to make people smile and make each of them realize how beautiful person they are. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely has made me adjustable to any surrounding very easily .I have always remained the naughtiest and funniest student in all of my classes but among all these , I have never ignored my studies and pushed myself for my better learning J

Living in Jhapa, was probably one of the best experiences of my life. I still remember almost all of my 5 years there quite clearly. Although I contradicted it at the time, I used to relish all the trips I had to go on with my parents and my friends every month. I was very muddled when my parents informed me we had to move and couldn't believe it. I cherish my past experiences and miss all those times spent there. I remember that day , when I insanely danced in the rain putting on my mother's shawl , well there's a lot I have learned from my place and my people there .

Even having so many years of stay here at Kathmandu, I feel my hometown is far better and awesome than my current city is. I have a lot memories connected to my hometown. I fell from the roof for more than 3 times and fractured my hand time and again. I recall how my mother scolded me for every such time, for my naughtiness. The next fall from the ladder was even more dangerous; luckily one of my neighbors saved me. Such incidents in my life have today made me a better person , making me realize my faults and stupidity of then .

Years Back, My dad wasn’t home, he had been to abroad. I, mother and my twins were there living in Jhapa. My elder sister had leg operations because of the bike accident she had, before the age of 7.I was so worried as mother had fainted as soon as she heard about the accident; thankfully neighbors helped us and sister was hurriedly rushed to hospital and everything went fine.  After she was brought home, I tried to be the best younger sister in the world giving her lots of love and care. I thought that if I loved her enough, her legs and her pain would heal bit early. It made my stoned heart passionate towards love and affection.

I am chiefly interested in the human creation, art of dance, media aspects ,leadership campaigns ,wildlife documentaries and also the literature side .In my studies toward a doctoral degree, I wish to explore more closely the relationship between the human and nature. I believe that there are other things that firstly do matter to heal a person's pain rather than medicines. I believe that the comforting effect of a friendly smile and reassuring confidence from a doctor has a very big impact on patients' health. This is the main reason I like to have a doctoral study in my forthcoming days since these ways are lacking in most of them today.

Writing stories and poems also figures prominently in my academic and professional goals. I have just begun submitting to the smaller journals and am gradually building a working manuscript for a collection. The dominant theme of this collection relies on poems that draw from women life and nature. At the same time, I enjoy the art of dance; it is my passion that allows me to be out of the world and enjoy like I never care.

I am interested on sports. I have enjoyed a range of activities from participating and also organizing sports and other activities which aims to promote sport among people .This activity has also allowed me to introduce other young people to activities that I have enjoyed. This role has also helped me to develop skills that would help me everytime, this has improved my managerial skills, which has reflected my ability to handle people .Working as part of a team and serving members of the public has also improved my social skills, making me more confident when working with others..

I have great plans for my country. No matter any consequences, I wish to apply all the knowledge I will be acquiring, in the development of my country. Secondly, I wish to study at university, not only for the knowledge that I will gain from the course, but also for the experience of university life has to offer. During my two years at college I have participated in various activities. For example, I represented the college at A levels Sports Meet, volunteered as an organizer in an orphanage. These activities have made me more confident, approachable and polite. I feel these are characteristics that will enable me to get involved with student life at university. My ambition is to participate in exploration of biological factors. Well, I have plans for SAT and other entrances after I return if I get selected. I feel the experience outlined above and the knowledge I will gain from the course will enable me to achieve this ambition.
